Hydroxyethyl Acrylate hydroxyalkyl ester monomer offers important properties to polymer products including hydrophilicity, improved adhesion to substrates, and crosslinking sites. Concretely with vinyl double bond within the molecule, it can copolymerize with other momomers to produce copolymers with hydroxy group in the side chain. And these structures are readily undergoing across-linking reaction. It also can be used in auto coating formation, and UV-curing system. It can form prepolymers and other active oligomers by reaction with diisocyanates and diexpoxy resins, and the resultants readily undergo polymerization under UV radiation. These products have wide application in wood-working varnish, printing inks, and other adhesives.
